Hello, dear compatriots (a word here used to convey closeness, and not with the intention of singularly referring to people born in my own country). How is your Wednesday? That's the day it is, right? Hard to keep track of those kinds of things sometimes. For me, right now includes those sometimes. I spent nearly every moment between 12 pm and 6 pm working. Not fun, I tell you, not fun. Even more dreadful when the main source of work is finishing Uncle Tom's Cabin. A book so much greater and more significant than my being that it is hard to comprehend sometimes. So complex and layered with history. Also incredibly sad. But I'm saying nothing you don't already know. I do not feel educated enough yet to speak on it meaningfully. A significant book indeed. 

This is quite the shift, but I did great at fencing today. I won every match I was in. Three appointments, including a veteran fencer. I was proud of that. 

Anyhoo, that's about it today. Just school work and fencing. I hope tomorrow is more exciting.
