My easy days never seem to be easy. If looking at a pie chart of what I did today and homework was yellow, a Pac-Man that would be. 我今天做作业。So much 作业。

There is a massive pull inside me wanting me to succeed. But that is only half of my goals. Of course, I want to do well and get good grades. But that's only a part of it. What I truly desire is to learn. I want to grow and understand. Not just do the things to get good grades, but also to know what I am doing. This is expressed very acutely in my journey through Mandarin. I am doing well in the class, but I long to be fluent. truly understand it. And I get discouraged sometimes that I am not. But I keep working, keep studying, and keep trying. It's about all I can do.
