To stumble 

Would be an honor 

To get a foot caught 

Between the twist of our elders 

To land hard 

On a bed of leaves 

To bleed

On sunlit soil 

To cry 

Into the warm wind 

It’s a blessing only children deserve 

But is offered to us all

To be kissed by her

Despite everything we have done
