08/23/2026 Correspondence 6
I survived week one. Or nearly a week one. My inner Garfield hasn't seen horror yet, since Monday was a day off.
We will see come the 24th if he is awakened and disgruntled.
I woke up early and went to CHIN 221. It was fine enough. Then I went to a small little study session I organised, and that went splendidly.
I spent the afternoon on an adventure. An adventure with a wonderful friend.
The quest was simple: find assorted crisis events volume 2. We failed. Three comic shops, all a bust.
The last one we went to, this really sick place, offered to order it for me, and they would call me when it came in. So I guess all I'll be reading is a book on patents.
Then we went to the library. The big city one. I got a card, and we explored the incredible space. Not much brings a bigger smile to my face than a modern library. We looked at books and the studios and maker spaces, then found a big communal crossword that we worked on for over an hour. A blast all around.
I met my friend's Mom after that, a lovely lady, and then we just kinda hung and played video games till I blinked and ended up back at my dorm.
Week 1 done. And rather well, I might add.
Thank you, and goodnight.
